Here are a few tips to WOW your guests!
Thanksgiving is here and your having people over. You want to make a statement and WOW your guests not only by your wonderful cooking, but you would love to take it up a notch and decorate and display your crafted culinary skills to the next level.
Quick Tips on how to accomplish the look!
Tip #1: Layering
In decorating keeping your eye at one level could be a slightly boring, but when you add height and depth and bringing your eye level up and moving around to give some interest. Get the food out of those aluminum pans and unto plates, platters and jars . Layer with fabric and/or doubling on the table cloth. To get some height you can use anything that you have around the house like boxes and books etc.
*Make sure whatever you use it is sturdy and stable*
You don’t want your food collapsing or knocking over. That would SUCK!
Tip #2: Grouping
Group same like items in odd numbers. Like in this picture above it shows white ceramic dessert dishes group in 3 and bringing in heights for display.
Tip #3: Texture and color
Here is where you bring in textures, color and bling in your table setting and buffet display. Have fun with this. This is the final touches to create a beautiful autumn atmosphere.
Items you can use:
1) Table runner for an example :burlap, sisal and cloth
2)Floral such as mums, wheat, berries, and greenery
3) Pumpkins or gourds small and large
4)Bring warmth with Candles and lanterns
5) other textures for instance consider adding wood, crates and haystacks
