What I have for you today is Office design. How to execute a office design and why is it so important to have an area of your own for your business. As a boss mom myself I know starting a business is tough, but yet exciting. Creating a designated area in your home for an office is a great way  to stay focused and organized. Are you a work at home mom? Creating an area to be able to run your business effectively is so important. What if you don’t have a room for your office.  What can you do?

Office location ideas: 

  1. a space in your bedroom
  2.  finished basement
  3.  a space in the living room
  4. a part in your kitchen would work
  5.  even convert a closet that isn’t being used.

What will you need in your home office (questions to ask yourself of items you should consider):

  1. What type of desk would I need? Is a secretary desk do its justice or will you need drawers?
  2. Storage? storage bins, shelving unit perhaps or do you need a filing system?
  3. What type of seating would you need? Of course you need a desk chair. Do you need a sofa, accent chair or table and chairs?
  4. Decor? Making the space yours and space that you wouldn’t mind hanging out in while doing your daily tasks at work. You can choose some decorative accents for interest and don’t forget adding an area rug which would give you warmth and cozy feeling.
